Being the last living prototype of the Autosaur species and being wanted dead for that particular reason, its safe to say Demon is no stranger to ambushes, random attacks, and simply just reported being seen by civilians if he decides to drive about in his normal Nova form. Often he leaves before the Hunters can get to his last known location, but sometimes its not civilians who catch a glimpse of him.
Today, it was cops. Right away they gave chase, shooting him initially, only to give up on that as their pistols couldn't even pierce his hide. They called in every unit of backup they could, and even tried to get the military involved considering how dangerous and also skilled Demon is. His secret owner, staying below the dash to avoid being seen, threw several grenades out the window in hopes to stop the pursuers. One managed to hit its mark and blow up right behind one cop car, sending it flying as a SWAT van attempted to pull alongside and ram him.
The only military that was able to keep up was on Humvee, and a rocket was fired at Demon. He saw and heard it coming and popped himself up onto two wheels, the rocket cleanly flying right under him.
So this idea's been in the works for a couple of days, but I'm so glad to see it finally finished. Here is a typical pursuit where Demon is the one being chased. He's done this countless times before so he knows how to get away.

Well, no. But since Demon's a prototype, his car "skin" feels like scales still, whereas updated Autosaur car skin feels metallic as intended. But also, Demon is very recognizable if he's in his Nova form. All black everything and blacked out windows if no one is driving him. And on the Autosaur document, it literally says how one can identify an Auto, but all methods require being up close.
