Archie, despite already owning the successful-if-preachy TMNT Adventures comic in the '90s, wanted an additional successful-if-preachy comic starring mutant animals. So thus was born the Conservation Corps, who thrived in 3 mere issues and a TMNT crossover. Sky Shark (in 2/4 of those comics) might have been the first, ahem, 'endowed' anthro shark and was a bit of a cringy feminist-written-by-man type. ("I just LOVE watching the inferior gender make fools of themselves!")
