I went to a homeless shelter one year for Christmas- I saw a similar scene to this. All these children running around, with assorted families, all acting like they were one close-knit community. They would receive things like socks, shoes, jackets, shirts, even underwear and act more grateful than if they had gotten the newest electronic device.

They were poor in money but rich in spirit.
