This commission is based on an actual experience we had some years back at our first Anthrocon in Pittsburgh… We wandered with our friends Flain and Scry out for some food one Saturday evening, and under the direction of myself and Flain, promptly became lost. Enthusiastically lost. Some time later the girls, who had thought to bring a map, took charge. And that is why I am alive today to write this.

Man I should draw sometime my groups first experience in Pittsburgh (for our first AC as well) were we came into the city not only during rush hour but also when alot of traffic was coming and going due to a baseball game. (I believe the same game that was called due to rain they blamed the 'furrys' for bringing) We got trapped in an intersection and a large dumptruck got like less then a foot away from the side of the car (it was bumper to bumper we couldn't move) and I was all in a panic (we had borrowed my moms car) and then a semi truck tried to turn around in the streets and there were like six motorcycle cops and then we found the wrong parking garage that seemed to spiral into hell itself DX Its funny to laugh about now but at the time my entire group was like ;_;
Blamed the furries? Lol dude, ive lived here for 22 years and ive never heard a single person say something bad about furries aside from homeless people. Everyone *loves* it when the fursuiters come out. But anyways sounds like you had a tough time coming in xD were you coming from the south or west? 376E inbound can get fucked up that time of day
Oh it was Pittsburgh that blamed the furries, it was the opposing team XD (who I think also stayed at the Westin and got freaked out if I remember correctly XD) We came up from MD so we did come in through the South. We had an easier time our second year and for our third year we hitched a ride with our friend. It was pouring down rain and rush hour traffic and then our windshield wipers broke and we couldn't see...it was terrible. We have such bad luck when going up (Always facing such heavy rain that we can barely see (all three years, third year was worst though because of the wipers thing)
Hah, I remember that feeling.
I got lost a lot during AC 2010.
One night I left the DLCC around 10 at night, and didn't get back to my hotel around 12.
I remember getting turned around because of all the detours actually.
On the bright side I managed to get lost and wind up on Grandview Ave overlooking the entire city at night.
Which was quite the sight to see.
I think it's pretty safe to say that for AC 2011 I'll have a GPS. lol
