The Desecrator (by Slackdzove)
YCH from the talented
slackdzove, also featuring
browncoyote's Torrin!
I've never been a particularly religious or devoted dragon. I prefer to believe that everything I have, it's because I fought for it and earned it with my own might, skill and force of will. I don't bow or kneel before any beast that demands worship.
But when some monstrous entity from beyond attacked a temple in the town I was visiting, still I ran towards it. This was not about gods, or divinity - it was about a monster sowing fear and death amongst the townsfolk.
With little time to properly armour up or even to grab my weapons, I barged in and grabbed at the nearest polearm-like tool that was at hand. Thankfully, I was not alone; a mage by the name of Torrin was already there, frantically flicking through what I could only assume was his spellbook for some way of driving the beast back.
The creature was bearing down on the hapless mage, so I leapt in, weapon at the ready, to strike it back. There were no words exchanged between me and the mage; there didn't need to be. He was, seemingly, just as seasoned an adventurer as I, and knew exactly what to do. I kept the beast at bay with weapon and claw, while he wove his arms and uttered...whatever incantation it was he needed.
But even once we drive this beast back to wherever it came from, the quest will not be over. How did it get here, and why? I don't know about the mage, but I'm grabbing my sword and my armour, and delving deeper into this church.

I mean... leaving such a creature without attention is criminal itself no matter the question of faith or not
Not to mention the fact that through the desecration of this place and negative energy creature can create more power for itself
No remorse! No fear! Smite the evil entity!
