...not even a dog.
Lazy butt production proudly presents „Artist gone wild“.
Found out how to color fast in gradientshading style using only the lasso tool and the gradienttool.
Ouh, sorry, more emotional art from me. Yesterday I browsed trough dA and found someone who drew a group picture with her fellow wolfartists. And I just thought how great it would be to be one of them. I see so many artists here on dA, some of them better than me, some of them not as good as me. And I found out that it often doesn´t depend on how good their artistic abilities are most artist get favs when they draw something that most people just like. Like fanart. So I saw artists who have extraordinary artistic abilities and they get only a few favs because they don´t draw “mainstream”. Other artists, just beginners, draw some fanart and get over 250 favs. And often it´s because they draw wolves. Sometimes it’s really frustrating, especially when you spent hours and hours on a piece and no one really takes a look.
Yes, I hate him. I hate Yedaji for geing who he is. I hate him for being just a dog. I searched long for an own character. Everyone has one and say that it really represents them self. Yeah, and he represents me. I know it, but I still hate him. And he never let me draw him. But this time I got him. Muahaha!!
And, no he didn´t kill a wolf. It´s just symbolic.
And sorry for being so frustrated. I finished this pic after having an accident with PS and a commission.

Aww...sorry to hear that you feel this way. I for one love your art, and I will definitely fav this. In fact I use some of your pictures as wallpapers (I have a program that rotates wallpapers for me). I'm not to interested in mainstream art, I am most interested in talent and emotion, and your work has plenty of both.
I can totally understand where you're comming from.
I'm well aware that the only reason I get as many faves and watches as I do is because I do so much porn. If it wasn't for the porn, I don't think I'd get hardly any attention at all.
It does seem like wolves and foxes are over-represented. But then, so are Dragons.

I know the feeling...my chosen character is a falcon, but my totem has long been a wolf. However, I often get made fun of, because I'm always told that avians can't growl, or this or that...we choose animals to represent certain facets of our personality. That doesn't mean that such a facet is permanent, or fixed. As is everything in life, we are ever-changing.
hey liebes

Aww, I totally understand you. If you do not blend in with everybody else's art, you have no attention. If you think about it, the reverse seems more logical but sadly it's not.
I really love the emotion you gave this piece. The scar on the eye makes the dog look more mortal...... more vunerable.

I thought about the thing with wolves, and you're right (even though I'M a wolf. *sweatdrop*). But I began to wonder about it, and I thought that maybe it's because in real life, a lot of people don't like wolves because they're scared of them. So online is one place where people can say they love wolves...
But then again, that doesn't explain why more peculiar animals - ones that people still aren't crazy about but also aren't scared of - aren't drawn as much... hmm...
And lots of people in real life are scared of tigers and the like, but they still talk about how beautiful they are (which they are, don't get me wrong!)...
GAH, I'm making no SENSE! >_< Ignore me.
It's a wonderful picture, and you're character's beautiful. That's all I have that's actually WORTH saying.
