Today’s my birthday! But, I decided to do something different than my last b-day artworks. This year, I made a comfort character using inspiration from my all-time favorite fandoms. I haven’t done this before, and it was kinda hard since my two main inspirations were robotic in nature. This is literally my first time drawing a full robotic character besides protogens (which are more fluff than machine). But, I managed to make a character I think I love more than my mains. This is Vortex, a robot from an alien planet. He was a soldier before his original body was severely damaged. Now rebuilt and upgraded, he prefers to live a life of solitude with a young girl he adopted not long after. Though weary of strangers, he’s not unfriendly and is able to engage in simple conversation.

He’s about 7ft tall and runs on his own energy. He does need to power down for at least 5 hours every day though, just to avoid anymore “fainting” accidents. He can be a bit harsh in his words when wanting to keep those he loves safe, but only because he cares. Vortex also has been known to be rather cheeky on rare occasions, much to his daughter’s amusement.

His voice is Darius from the movie Vesper (cool movie btw)
