Ah, love the texturing you have here. You pasted paper on the canvas?
Actually, the building in the center makes me think of a giant layered cake, but I just like cake that much.
You have good color schemes too. The yellowish brown is set off really well by the soft blue and this of course syncs with the contrast of the brown buildings being so stark while the smoke smothers it with an organic feel. Very cool Sky.

thank you! The underpainting where the texture is was actually a painting someone was going to throw away, so I opted to take it and use it as a background for something. On it's own, I don't think it was an entirely successful painting but I still didn't want to merely paint over it completely because I feel like that would be disrespectful, even if the artist thought it was trash. But I think it worked out pretty well! cake! <3
