Dem'mit continues to prove he's the smartest guy in the room. He knows how valuable she is and makes damn sure she's taken care of. In his situation having a trustworthy driver - and ally - is invaluable. She'd be cheap at 10x the price.

Dem'mit continues to prove he is a either a nice guy who just happens to also be a dangerous warrior or a dangerous warrior who just happens to be a nice guy.

An Ambassador who has a true understanding of the common person is rare and valuable... and one who uses that understanding to improve the lot of those common people is even rarer still... no wonder the less ethical fear him to the point of employing assassins, he is a danger to them and those who profit from their machinations.

Very intent on doing the right thing, be it beating the bad guys, or making sure the good guys are taken care of too.
