Just a random thing inspired by a game I've been remembering recently, with my characters, Kirumo as Henry (sure nobody knows what he looks like yet, but I don't care) and Marie as Allison Angel.
I still don't know how to feel about this... Bendy and the Ink Machine, which celebrates its 4th anniversary since the latest patch's release tomorrow, is a mixed bag of game. I have issues with bits of the visuals, character designs, sometimes too beautiful for a horror game, the writing process that made somewhat disconnected story of each chapter, and one of the developers who still hasn't bothered to fix any of the bugs that are STILL present since the night of Chapter 5's release, not to mention certain toxicity that followed. Yet I still feel like it has strong ties to my past under the producer I had between 2012 and 2017... Weird that he ticks almost all the boxes in crimes Joey Drew had in the game... very long story I told many times in many places) And this story still doesn't fully let me go... Sure that, unlike Henry, I'm not after a tranquil life with a family, because my family supports war crimes, I'm after a passion project that I want to finish one day... although I still demand peace and dethroning of you-know-who before I'll start working on it, it's not comfortable working on a potentially controversial project while post-Soviet communism is active. And funny that my Joey Drew is still after a corrupt empire he wants to build by the hands of not one but two Henry Steins who equally hate him by now, and he doesn't want to let go... Earlier, I wanted to plug this story into an attempt at game reviews, starting with Bendy, however, now I'm unsure if I should this at all. It's a prefect topic to plug that in, but talking well justified shit about the one who almost broke my life once without calling him by his real name isn't really what I want it to be about, it's supposed to be about criticism of the game's writing, designs and programming) Plus, it's a side project that will delay the production of Tailian Chronicles for even longer, since I have a few more forgotten and underappreciated games to talk about, never without a lot of CGI and custom animation) Maybe someday. Priorities, you know)

I know, and I still don't hide that I like this game) Sure that, thanks to that review attempt I've been writing and rewriting for the past two years, initiated by the Kinoproba incident, I noticed there's been a lot of qualms, like how the final character models aren't always as good yet still justifiable by being an indie game (and how Sammy and Alice Campbell are a bit too hot for horror villains, but hey, many modern horrors have that bit of horny in character design nowadays), how the world color setting has made the maps of Chapter 3 and 4 too oversaturated, how the writing between chapters may seem disconnected, how the gameplay took some of the fun of playing the game over time, how OP the Little Miracle Stations are, and of course, how Mike has absolutely forgotten about the game since the night of release not bothering to fix any of the bugs. But sure, no game is perfect, and no development team is perfect, either, Mike Mood's been a little too full of himself that Joey Drew Studios in real life has almost become the Joey Drew Studios from the game. But I admit there's been some good in Bendy and the Ink Machine. It had a very interesting concept and art style to go with it, it gathered a bunch of talented musicians, artists, modelers, animators, etc. for the amazing content I keep occasionally revisiting over the years, and like any horror game with lots of untold details, it gave food for thought, absurd at times, but hey, even FNaF has suffered from the same issue. And of course, I know a guy who is almost exactly like Joey Drew in the game, if he wore glasses, had Ryusei Nakao's voice, and was killing people's names by artificial viruses without killing them directly, and I can easily project myself as an artist onto Henry, considering my earlier experience as part of the long defunct Zarumo Team I've been working for many years ago. And really, even if I may or may not be able to complete it on my own, as I don't really play horrors (so far Bendy and the Ink Machine is the only horror game I'm able to complete without flinching, but I'm sure the same could be said about other "horrors" I liked later), I hope that we will see the sequel one day and see how much Meatly, Mike and the team have improved, and did the firings and the Phat Mojo lawsuit teach them a few lessons about making horror games and treating their staff)
