As promised, introducing Libra’s little palisman, Echo! I actually struggled a lot choosing what would work for Libra in regards to something like a palisman. Since they’re also familiars, it had to be something I knew would really stick. At first, I was going to choose between a red panda and a snow leopard, but those didn’t feel right even if they’re my top 10 animal I love list. At least for real animals, since I also have a mythical creature list, which was when it clicked for it to be this precious girl. I adore owls, and the barn owl was my chosen inspiration for her face since I think they’re the cutest owls in my opinion.
Anyway, Echo’s original owner died of natural causes, but left her alone and without anyone to bond with. Until, Libra stumbled upon the old home and heard chirping. After investigating, she found this bundle of grey feathers, clearly distressed. From there, she took care of the gryphon, helping her recover from the death of her former owner. However, it didn’t take long for her to bond with Libra, as she transformed into her staff form after only a month of care. This showed a considerable amount of trust as Echo hated being in staff form unless she needed to be.
Now, she and Libra are both each other’s emotional support person, having formed a friendship of unbreakable love and companionship. Echo, when not in staff form, is either on top of Libra’s head or wrapped around her neck like a scarf. She can make cat sounds like purring, regular bird sounds (like chirping) and barn owl sounds (pure demonic screeching). She’s a small bundle of personality, being both quiet and laid back, but also sassy and will scream your ears off if she doesn’t agree with something.
