Or "Santa Carl is Coming to Town".
Well just another holiday drawing. Carlos sitting over Santa's big sac... but... looks like it's a bit cold over there. and the kitty forgot to wear his costume this year. oh... silly kitty.
I'm not happy with the shadows. but... oh well I just wanted to finish this drawing. I might travel soon.
Anyway, I hope you like it.
and happy early holidays.

The ideas you come up with for Christmas outfits. Honestly now Carlie pon. :P
But I'll admit it. I'll admit it. It was....Christmas based. For what little you decided to wear.. it was Christmas based. :)
Though...I think this is one of the times when your fur color helps out with the color scheme here. It's the red and white patterns here that just work. [Red and cornsilk. But close enough. It's in the scale of white.] But looking at the candy cane there, it's as if I can truly see how the color scheme works. The red hat, long gloves and.....boots. [I was going to say 'stockings' until I realized there were soles on them. They're just long boots. ] Going along with the scarf, I thought that it did have a nice holiday feel to it. [Which I'm saying something about a month after the fact. I'm playing catch up. I am~!]
What I also found a bit interesting as I know I'll be the only one that will catch this is...that you have a direction the wind is blowing in this picture. I caught it with three things. The way the scarf is moving towards the left in the picture as if there's something blowing it, the slight arc the snowflakes are falling, and in cold weather, which direction you can see your breath when breathing. I thought that was clever as...no one... really does that. That happened to be not only creative but... realistic, and I can respect that. Matter of fact, I can even applaud it.
Speaking on, I do like the simplicity of the background. There's a small set of trees there, on a hillside, but it's not a lot of them to be overdone. This way you can still see the blue of the background. And not only just a standard blue, but one that's dark at the top to show it's night, and yet as it goes lower, gets brighter. Sort of like a city light effect in that area. I like that. [I do it myself too. Well....for what art work I.. never post. ] Plus it's pretty neat how the huge Christmas bag made a soft indentation and shadow in the snow. Not a crater, just...a big shadow. And the bag is...a quarter shade darker than the gloves and boots worn so they're not just mixed together. Smart move~!
The long and short of this [It's never short. Hardly ever...] is that this is a nicely made Christmas picture oh Carlie pon~! It's festive, it's colorful, and it's downright cute. ^ ^
Now... if my only little nitpick.. that 'oddly placed' candy cane...

teehee yeah I think the color combo came out pretty well. nya and yeah those are boots. I think it's leather.
yeah and I think you are the only one who noticed the wind. a small detail that makes difference but sadly no one notice. *giggles*
oh and the background was based on a Christmas card. but I did a very simple version, then added some blur. teehee and it's not a crater because actually the bg is full of soft things. oh and the colors is different from the gloves and boots because in my mind they were not made of the same material. and irl there is always a small difference, every when both are the same color.
thank you so much glad you like it. and the candy cane is over there because I was too lazy to draw the hands. teehee.
