Hello everyone! Sorry again for the delay with this new artwork, I had some troubles in the last few days including a pain in my wrist for about four days. Anyways, I have finally finished this new drawing to celebrate Nightmare Night. The idea was clear since this month started, draw my two OCs together with silly costumes (and cute diapers) getting ready for Nightmare Night, and here you have the final result of that silly idea.
This is my very first MLP drawing applying the new shading techniques I learnt a short while ago. I think it looks pretty good, but probably, being a nighttime scene makes it harder to notice. It was a true challenge to put all the elements of the artwork together in a reasonable way, like the trees, the sky, the moon, the costumes, everything making sense together. This project resulted too into a big collection of layers for the transparencies and other stuff I needed which could make my PC explode. It was also interesting to use different colors for lights and shadows as well as the wet paint brush for Sparkly's costume. The whole process was without a doubt an interesting experience if you ask to me.
So, what do you think? Are those two ready for the scariest night of the year? :3

I feel bad that it took me so long to get to this submission. Thankfully, even during my major battles with anxiety and depression, I did remember to save important posts within my Submission Folder so I could get to them later.

You made a good point on how, quite often, people fail to see the amount of effort that was put into creating a scene. However, as the artist, I am sure it made you happy to achieve all the layers necessary to give it a true 'Nightmare Night' look and feel. (It is also nice to see more of Sparkly: The Changeling.)
How do you feel Goldigony would get along with Sparkly? Do you feel Spike would be helpful in making Goldy and Sparkly become friends? (Spike does have a good reputation with being friends with The Changelings.).

Don't worry Yosh. I have to thank you for taking the time to check old missing submissions. That's really kind from your part.
Creating a good environment is basically the 50% of the artwork final effect. When I just started to draw I only drew character and used empty or default backgrounds, but as an artist you learn pretty soon that the only way to create good scenes is to do your own backgrounds. It can be hard, but with practice you eventually can create good things.
I'm sure Spike would help them to be friends, but in this case I suspect they two became friends by their own, just finding themselves together on a complicated situation, being not so social creature naturally they eventually find a connection, pretty much like Thorax and Ember when they met accidentally.
