The hard, heavy clanking sounds of the knight’s metallic greaves announces her presence well before she shows herself, the leaf-littered ground hardly doing much to muffle her stomping footfalls as she approaches closer… and closer… and closer. The light mist draped in between the shadowed, dead trees and claw-like branches parts like a stage curtain to make way for her large and imposing figure. She’s dressed in dark, thick-plated armor that gleams as the light from the pale moon above catches it, a cloak almost as blue as the night sky itself wrapped around her neck and draped over her shoulders that flutters behind her with every passing gust of wind.
But what really draws the most attention is the enormous sword of blackened metal she carries that seems almost as big as she is, the golden amber-colored inlays along the blade and hilt giving off an almost warm glow, moonlight glinting along the length of the keen edge to really show just how razor-sharp it was… Well-honed and likely heavy enough to be able to cleave a man in two with a single swing... What would most certainly require at least two hands to be able to properly wield (or at the very least try to with a sword of that kind of scale) by most normal individuals, the wolverine woman seems to easily hold it as it rested atop her shoulder with only one. A feat that surely could only be attained if she was indeed that strong… which given her sheer size and stature just from appearances alone seemed very plausible.
Standing tall and stalwart, an immovable tower of iron and strength, the lady knight cuts a looming, imposing figure against the dusky backdrop of the forest. Her bright red eyes give off a menacing, eerie glow that pierces through the haze and gloom, her leering gaze accompanied by a large, toothy grin that oozes confidence and assertiveness. Almost as if she’s daring anyone with the will and constitution to step up and challenge her to battle, a fight that they would certainly lose against her. There is the option to turn tail and run, of course, but even that would only do so much good before she’d finally catch up to them. She may not be the quickest on her feet, especially being dressed from head to toe in well over 100 pounds of armor and carrying such a large and weighty weapon to boot as well, but she makes up for it with persistence as she will chase down her quarry until they’re too exhausted to flee any further. And after that, it's only a matter of time before she catches up to them, and cuts them down quickly and mercilessly as her sword goes through them with all the ease of a hot knife through butter.
Regardless of the choice, ultimately it’s damned if they do, and damned if they don’t…
What would be yours?
A super amazing piece featuring my rough n' tough wolverine lady Rosamund all decked out in some sweet armor with an equally sweet looking sword as well to get into the spirit of the Halloween season! I'm honestly just so thoroughly impressed with how awesomely this artwork really came out in the end... The artist really knocked this idea and the execution of it out of the park, for sure! The shading and texturing of Rosa's fur and patterns, the rendering work on her armor, cloak, and of course that sword too! The sword was definitely the most difficult part to nail down during the sketch and line stages, but they still managed to do a great job of really getting it spot on with the colors and details! And those glowing red eyes combined with that confident, almost cocky-looking grin really gives her that sense of daring intimidation, like she's more than ready and eager to take on anyone and everyone who tries to challenge her! The dark trees and silhouettes of birds in the distance just adds further onto that creepy, eerie vibe of this lone warrior traversing the dangerous forest alone at night, on the hunt for demons, monsters, and all evil beings of the supernatural flavor that may be lurking around... All in all, the artist did a truly fantastic job with this through and through, and I couldn't be more pleased with the end results~ <33
Also, Rosa's outfit in this is actually a reference to a very particular character from a very particular animated series that I've watched as of lately and super enjoyed! Whoever can name that character or make a pretty close guess as to who it is or the show they're from gets a free baker's dozen of internet cookies!

Oh for sure! Then again considering that it’s a Guts-from-Berserk type of sword that’s at least three times the size and weight of a typical greatsword, that’s pretty par for the course I’d say xD
Thanks so much for the fave and for your wonderful comment, Thieu! Always nice hearing from you, my friend~ <33

You're welcome as always. The effort you put into your comisisons even though you're not the one drawing them, with the stories and more and all is always so nice.
Though I must respond to the question you ask in your description
"What would be yours?"
The owl merely responds with his signature smile, and a single word accompanied by a raised finger.
"Up" :}

Oho?? She’d certainly be surprised, but she’d definitely respect you very much for your bravery! Not that she’d aim to really kill anyone unless they’re actually a proven threat to the public, though, heh~
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment as always! Much appreciated, man! ^^

A growl encompass the air around those present. It reverberates and shakes bone. There is an unnatural glow, blinding green held in the hands of what is assumed the knight's target. White-purple glow to the wielder's eyes, glaring. "Have you been sent to hunt me down as well?" The figure is ready to engage, tail lashing behind her. Bamboo hat hanging from her neck, armor unrecognizable form this land.
Her sword reminds me of the Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII.

The wolverine knight's ears twitch at the sound of the deep growl that strikes the air, hand shifting only slightly to adjust the grip on her sword as she stands across the clearing from the mysterious figure before her. Her eyes snap momentarily to the bright, radiantly glowing green emanating from their hands, clearly a magic user of some kind. Interesting... Rosamund herself wasn't exactly the most well-versed when it came to knowledge of the arcane, that was something better left to her fireball-slinging friend who'd been essentially gifted with such capabilities by her birthright and heritage. But she did know enough about magic to understand how dangerous it could be in the hands of an expert wielder, having trained and taught herself how to counter against mages and adjust her tactics in battle to avoid whatever spells they might throw her way.
"Mmmmm... Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. Will say, ya don't look like any kind o' beast that I'd usually hunt. 'N I have no reason to quarrel with anythin' I ain't been sent to track down. But if it's a fight ya want, well, s'ppose I could give ya that much."
The mysterious woman seemed ready and raring to go for a fight, yet Rosa makes no immediate move to draw the sword from its resting place on her shoulder. Rather she seems to squint her eyes slightly, taking in the stranger's appearance, the foreign-looking armor on her person, the long tail lashing about behind her, the long, flowing hair that cascades down her face and back. How interesting... Rosamund hums and rolls her neck until it gives a satisfying pop, grin stretching just a touch wider as she regards the other before her.
"But if ya'd be willin' to humor me at least this once, outta respect for a fellow fighter... Tell me, stranger, what be yer name?"

Buster Sword would be a pretty close comparison, yeah, since that's pretty much the poster child when it comes to the trope of 'bigass anime swords'. Though Rosa's particular outfit here is actually based on the character Striga from Castlevania. And actually, as a bit of a fun fact, Striga's special set of armor and her sword that she uses in the show is very heavily inspired from Guts' sword and his Berserker armor. In fact, that entire design is pretty much a love letter to Berserk, apparently quite a few of the folks who worked on the Castlevania series were huge fans of Miura's work.

Crackling green energy disperses ever slowly, the movement she sees indicates no immediate threat. This knight could be a distraction... Her large sword had yet to be removed from her back, grip still clutching at it. The grin that spreads across the other face is meet with one of her own, a growl coiled in her throat. She was to on edge, exhausted. She did not any unnecessary fighting. As much as her blood boiled to let loose, now was not the time. The warrior look well experienced, regardless of the situation. She would have a better chance, should this warrior be after her, if she was not at her breaking point, she wasn't stupid. Energy cascaded away, yet a different force thrums under her skin. Head held high, staying her tail, taking her eyes off the 'enemy', wounding her own warriors pride, gives a sloppy bow. One that shows how utterly exhausted she is. How her chest shakes as she breaths. Hair flying free, even of the flowers useually keep in her hair, used in an earlier battle. Her garments torn and dirty, armor dented and scratched.
"Rude to ask for a name, when you've not given your own..."
She stands tall, orbs drawn along the area, ears perked for alarm. The abyss echoes back, predator to predator.
"Hokori..."
My vote is still for the buster sword. I know no other sword. I can see the similarities. Thats pretty cool.
