Dash the pirate! :D

I <3 pirate gear. I get to dig up all my reference/art books and go crazy. :3

I don't usually post work-in-progress shots of badges, but this one's been marooned at a friend's for a while and I wanted to show proof-of-life before I was made to walk the plank.

The colors are off b/c Indigo's scanner hates me (seriously, look at the pistol butts! they're actually burnished coppery-brown wood, not dried peach!), and of course since this is just the flat colors, no shading or muscle tone/clothing folds have been added. Also, his name will be in metallic gold ink when I'm finished, but I need to get a new thin gold pen first b/c mine likes ruining art lately by blarging all over it.

Anyways. I ramble. Lookit! He's got a parrot feather in his hat!
