I realized the last time I posted something I actually drew was about six months ago...
I've decided to revive some of my favorite old characters and give them some purpose. Donovan was one of the ones I never ended up doing anything with despite the fact that I planned to. Now I've revamped his old Disney-esque appearance even going as far as changing the animal from some sort of duck/bird thing to a mouse. Kind of ironic considering he's my biggest guy so far. I personally like the change, but I'd love a little feedback. So Whaddyathink? Anyway, a little bit on the guy:
Donovan Cambridge is your average gym rat. (No pun intended) Despite his chiseled, masculine outward appearance, he's actually a flaming homo. However, with his pleasant personality and a heart of gold, he has never really had any difficulty finding acceptance, at least not in his community.
He had a relatively short stint in the military and was actually a praised officer but due to an act of "misconduct" (which was kept quiet) he was dismissed. He now serves alongside Rocky Novarin, Butch Corwyn, and Errick Merlowe in Squad Team Gamma of the Chicago Branch U.D.A. (To be defined later)

Y'know, I honestly don't have a clue about that one myself. I did have pressure sensitivity at one point, but after I upgraded to Windows 7, I kinda lost that. I wish I did though since I've seen a lot of artists use broad and thin lines to their advantage. I guess I've done okay without it though so I don't really worry about it much.
Well I know it's silly but it's the legs. Birds have those goofy naked, scaly legs. I couldn't figure a way to get the legs to work in a realistic design so I decided to make the change. I decided somewhere along the way that I wanted a character that was abnormally well hung too but not just big for the sake of being big. Since rodents are known for having huge "assets," my decision was clear. Plus a huge hulking mouse seems like a pretty funny contradiction!
I'll have more about him on a more complete picture. Oddly enough, out of all my characters so far, he's one of the only two that really has an almost complete back story. For some reason I've really come to love the guy's personality. Even before I changed the design, I wrote him to be a pretty likable guy. At least in my opinion.
