Cerise's hats actually contains their own worlds, full of zany cartoon nonsense. To perform a Toon Up, she stuffs a person under the hat such that when Cerise lifts it back up, the person is gone! They are quickly whisked away to a pocket dimension of black and white cartoons that induces a transformation.

Cerise can let the transformation rock for as long as she wishes. If she waits a full day, the person underneath the hat will permanently become Toon! Otherwise, it wears off after 1 to 5 hours. Permanent Toons become fully black and white and gain gloves.
