The longer she spent in this world, the more Musaamik recognized familiar cycles all around her. Though the foliage was so much different than what she would find in All-Hollow it reacted similarly as the days, weeks, months, and years passed. Seeds and spores were released, implanted in the ground, grew, spawned themselves, and then eventually would die. To heat, to water, to insects or the strangling starvation of parasites. Then, a familiar green carpet would crawl across the ground, breaking down the dead material to create a fertile place for the next seed that buried itself within the moss. Familiar cycles, a pale echo of home that comforted her as much as it made her all the more homesick.
