Back before I did any research on spotted hyenas, I drew Sandy and Kathy with stripes down their backs.
Real hyenas don't have dorsal stripes, but now I'm stuck with it, just as I'm stuck with their white Looney Tunes-inspired muzzles and black Lion King-inspired ears.
