Commissioned piece for my friend Ozimankieknees over on Weasyl, in which I was given some artistic freedom to design a character/species for him that might be compatible with my own universe based on some suggestions and input--something a bit unusual, but an interesting little collaborative project all the same.

While he had initially simply suggested an otter, the fact that his avatar over on Weasyl had been a photo of one of his alpacas and his interest in my alien and sci-fi concepts led me to suggest designing a creature that is a sort of alpaca-otter hybrid, and at some point I'll likely be designing the rest of the creature as well.

We've discussed and determined the species design overall will probably be added to my universe at some point as we continue to discuss various aspects of them and their culture.

However, this specific character design, which we are still developing but will likely be a gruff engineer or mechanic of some sort, belongs to Ozi. I'm quite liking this idea of collaborating with people to design new creatures and characters, even if there are some challenges that come with it.


I am also in the process of revising my commission terms and conditions, including my pricing, but I am open for commissions and could use a bit of money right now--send a note on FA or Weasyl if you're interested!
