Here's what I messed with last night.. It's a pain in the beautox to shape a g8 male into a female, the Horse morphs only worked with the g8 male figure.. Good thing I had coupons, I didn't have any G8 male morphs worth a $h!+ then I had to re-figure out how to hide fur under clothing LOL... Nothing I can do at the moment about the leg structure but it's a start...

a start indeed. the face looks nice and believable. question is, if the leg style persists, what to do with the hooves? use them with plantigrade feet and turn them into a single toecap, or try and recreate a digitgrade leg form while keeping the proportions... my guess is there will be endless hours of fiddling in it for you. :P
If Mapper derived it from the set I think he did...

...the issue is that "Oso" did not arrange for for the elongated metacarpal section that unguligrade (equine) beings are expected to have. With older Poser based figures one could (in some cases, but not all) "stretch" that section and used different methods to thicken or slim that region and those adjoining as required. For the DAZ Genesis range, I have no idea how that can be accomplished without totally "crashing" other aspects of the morphed character.
In layman's terms, it's no easy fix and I don't envy the effort that will be required if Mapper opts to muscle through the alterations.
From the mid shins upward, however, she looks fan-f***ing-tastic and the velvet like hair parameters give her an element of realism that is just stunning!
Kathy, which thread do you think Mapper might post this selection at the CrossTime Cafe forums because I feel Mapper's work deserves to be seen.

Sometimes it's free if you check at the right times. One Thanksgiving/weekend they had 'get one of these five items free' every four hours (yes, I set my alarm to get me up - ten minutes of sleep was worth another $15-$25 toy of my time!)
They did screw up one Xmas, 'one free and second free if you buy something', next day it was 'two free and a third if you buy something' ... they got up to day eight when somebody coded something wrong and the site went down with everybody trying to get eight free items. (picked up a lot of their shaders at that time.)
But yeah, mark down what you can afford to spend/waste/invest and stop!

When they were switching over their ordering system their gift cards were 51% off for a while - but the sale wasn't registering, so I tried twice - and they honored it! So for the next $800 of buying had a built-in 51% off whatever they said the price was (and since I like waiting for things to be 85-90% off anyway ... )
Very interesting work indeed. I remember fiddling with DAZ 3D several years ago but I never had the money to buy anything. Nor did I really have the patience to learn about 3D modeling. Horses are big beefy critters from the start so not having the right base makes it a pain.
But I will say that she's turning out nice so far. Especially when you take into consideration that you're not starting with the proper materials in the first place. I like how you have her hair, it reminds me of Tina Turner's hair style used in Mad Max: Beyond Thunder Dome. :)

I've had countless ideas for characters over the years that would be cool as a 3d model. I could just never get into the swing of learning software on my own. As cool as the idea was I just didn't have the attention span to self-learn. I'd have to take a class in order to avoid distractions and learn it properly.
Either way, keep at it and you'll get her the way you want her. :)
