The baron did not like the news.

If you were to ask to his servants they would tell you that he was always in a bad mood. That wasn't technically true, as he was quite fine by himself, but people tended to bug him. Any kind of people.
This time around, though, it wasn't about random people. Or, rather, it wasn't just about random people. What made the baron angry was the treat of marrying him off to a foreign noble or another, made by the spineless diplomat sent by the crown.

It was already difficult to be left alone as it was, the last thing he needed was a marriage.
