Considering the purely tribal nature we've seen thus far, this is a bit of a jump. But, if you know anything of the Dark Ages in Europe, churches were pretty frickin' nice even while people had little dirt-floored cottages and junk. A lot of early cultures spent a LOT more time and effort on their religious buildings than in personal use ones. We're still inside the mountain, but the building its still huuuuge.
Ever notice that churches are built with high ceilings, specifically to make you feel as small and insignificant as possible...?

And the insides... Looks like like a gothic building lost among Aztec/Mayan/Egiptian culture... Like... a mix one wouldn't have predicted.
