Doing doodles I did this cute kakapo. Isn't it one of the cutest birds ever?
For those who don't know it, the kakapo is an almost extincted (unfortunately) parrot from New Zealand. Like many others birds in enviroments without predators, the kakapo lost its ability of flight, and also its weight doesn't allow it to fly: the heaviest kakapos can reach 4 kilogrames (near of 9 pounds), making them the heaviest parrots in the world. Despite its critical conservation state, the hope is not lost at all: in 1999, there was only 62 kakapos in all New Zealand, but today that number is the double, 124; a successful case of conservation in an almost extincted species!

Thanks! Certainly they're a very special kind of parrot, and I wish they can be saved from extinction someday.
It's not only cute with that tubby appearance, it's also told that they've a really charming personality and a very pleasant smell. A really interesting creature :)

muy cute el lorete ^^, la verdad es que yo conozco al Kakapó desde hace cosa de mes y poco, y todo por un par de videos del intermedio que pululaban por youtube, le hacen un contraste humorístico bastante peculiar y gracioso aunque mucha justicia la verdad no le hacen al pobre animal, pero vamos, que los videos son la monda y tu dibujo es admirable x3
