Finally completed an ambitious project of making a cross stitch based on own design. Turns out to be rather more challenging than first expected, had to do a lot of course correction while making it, BUT is finally complete! And I'm rather proud of the result for a first try on making my own design become reality like this.
Design based on this old concept, that I drew when my sister announced her pregnancy a couple of years ago. With her sona at the time being a plague doctor, and the fact my niece is a "quarantine baby" it was a fun mental image to draw and now it exists as a cross stitch embroidery to hang in my niece's room.
Is definitely not bad for a first try, so I'm looking forward to other projects like this I have in mind. Is challenging and a learning process, but is fun hobby I can manage when precision work like drawing gets a bit too hard on me, when my symptoms flare it. Is just nice to stay active despite my health issues.
