First of only two planets in the Lugh star system, Cernunnos is a greenhouse planet that is completely teeming with rainforest and jungle, with an incredible variety of plants, animals, and insects. The planet is only about 20% water having just one small sea and an elaborate, planet-wide, interconnected river system. Swamplands hude in-between as well as some large mountains causing impressive waterfalls. The weather is a humid-tropical climate with constant heavy rainstorm and high winds and very hot sunshine with clear skies operating in seasons. Because of the way the atmosphere behaves, the planet has a very high humidity reaching about 80%. Along with the heat and humidity, the oxygen levels are also above normal.

The planet is suspected to be inhabitable, but due to the breathtaking and immensely complex ecosystem, the Bekenstein corporation has the planet under extreme protection, prohibiting settling, as well as hunters, tourists, and only allows minimal advanced technology. The only ones permitted to venture into the planet are scientists and explorers, and even then, strict rules must be followed, causing the selection process to be very slow and difficult. Upon exploration, very quickly, ancient ruins were discovered all over the planet suggesting a civilization that came before, if not at least alien visitors.

Inspiration: Just thought the idea of a complete rainforest planet would be a cool idea! Some of it was taken from prehistoric times as well, and I pulled the idea of an ancient alien race possibly lingering around from a few places. Not sure what I'll realistically do with it otherwise. Name obviously taken from the the Celtic god of the same name who represented nature, flora, fauna, and fertility
