Well, these are the last of the FBA concepts. Not a lot of logo changes, I only changed one of my own, and for good reason. I don't know how to link people, but if you like this nonsense you should probably go check out JTigerclaw's work. That's JT's Artics, Tides, and Typhoons logos and they're pretty fekkin' great. Anyway, here are my final thoughts. .. I need like a .gif transition here.
Huntsville Mayors : I actually didn't much with this one, the Mayors current look is pretty close to what I have here, I just added a few things. Also, I dunno who did the Mayors logo, but it's about as close to as perfect a basketball logo I've ever seen. Like I see the Mayor of Townsville inspiration and I don't think it could have been done any better than this. I'm mad I didn't come up with it. Just wanted to add that in. I can't say enough good things about it.
Bangor Tides : I don't think this one works, but hey, they won't all be winners. I like it a lot more than my original idea, which was to have a sublimated Japanese style wave pattern in the background on an otherwise plain jersey, but this one would need some more work before I was happy with it. I also went with the lighter blue for the road because the dark blue worked better to symbolize "deep" water. Something something beware the Tides. It made sense when I did it weeks ago.
Tallahassee Typhoons : Kind of a mix between old and new here. First, JT's unis are top notch and that new logo is incredible. That out of the way, I kept the stripes and the font from the new set and simple design from the old set. As much as I liked the darker blue I had to drop it because it's not part of the "official" color scheme listed on the FBA website. I still think this set looks pretty good.
Arizona Demons : Pretty sure the new look for the recently moved Demons was done by Shatavian (again don't know how to link people) and it's a damn good look. I love the colors and the whole package. Check out Shay's page when you get a chance, there's some damn good works there! Honestly I don't think I would have been in the FBA if I hadn't read Shay's character stories. Anyway...I had this unfinished demon head logo laying around. It's still unfinished (it needs some touching up and highlighting), but I think it fit pretty good here. Also, I don't normally like it when the lettering/number color matches the jersey, but it kinda works here. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. It just works this time.
Montana Howlers : Not much to say here. The Howlers are one of the oldest teams in the FBA so I didn't want to give them too much of a look overhaul. I kept it simple ish. Also I love their color combo and I'm crazy happy that I have a player on that team =)
Alaska Arctics : Another of JT's teams. I absolutely love the logo, but I don't like this color scheme. Don't get me wrong, they absolutely work for the name and they contrast fine, it's a personal thing. That aside, I don't have much to say. I just simplified their current look.
And that's it. This project is over. It took a few months and inspired another project that I need to refine a bit before I'm comfortable showing off. I can say, though, it's the history of a completely made up league. Like...the full story of a basketball league. It's more of a long term project and I want to make sure it'll work the way I want it to before I unleash it for...scrutiny? I dunno. Anyway, thanks for giving this project a look. It was a lot of fun and frustration and I'm glad it's finally over. =)

Some takes:
Alaska - I always thought the current logo was way too busy and overdone, too much crammed in there, so this simplification is welcomed in my view
Arizona - That logo is creepy as all heck, but the uniforms are perfect, with the eerie vibe to it
Huntsville, Montana, Tallahassee - simple yet effective uniforms, TAL distinct in their own way ^^
Bangor - really love the package. The wave pattern on the uniforms might feel a bit cartoonish, but I love it to bits <3

I'll agree that some of JT's designs could use one fewer element in them sometimes, but they're all executed so well that I can overlook that more often than not. The logo I used here was also done by her. It's one of the Arctics' current alternates. Same with the Tides' logos, actually.
That Demons logo, though. I'll take the creepiness factor as a compliment =) It was honestly what I was going for when I started with an actual bear skull and then added scary teeth and horns. Creepy, unsettling...demonic lol Glad it read well!

Howdy! I just did a random search for "FBA" here and found this. ^^
As a gentle reminder, I don't go by "JT" anymore. This is my current name and account, Jayni Tigerpaw! It's ok though, I saw you gendered me correctly in the above comment and I was satisfied enough with that. ;) Just in the future, please refer to me as Jayni. ^^

As for the jersey redesigns, I love them! They all stay pretty true to the original designs but with a sort of common style that is your own. And they look great! Very clean layout which holds to the style and branding of each team. The Mayors, Howlers, and Arctics are very loyal to the classic design (which is a good thing), and I actually like the new wave on the Tides jerseys. Those Typhoons jerseys look like simplified replica jerseys which can be printed out and programmed into NBA2K a little easier. X3

Those are original 2009 designs and some of the very first used by the project! I'm ecstatic they've withstood the test of time and are ingrained into the team's identities. ^^

I try to keep my designs on the simpler because in 7th and 8th grade I used to design hockey jerseys and then would get them made so I could wear them at school and I found out that the more elements you have the more expensive it is to replicate. Everything I did got real clean after I had to start buying them myself! XD
Of course the Mayors and Howlers were yours, too! Also the Santa Fe Whips is one of my favorite older FBA designs. Nothing but good things to say about your work! =D
