No my deers i haven´t forgotten him, the best and buff looking bovine villain from the Popeye franchise.

I just love early production doodles and sketches; here we see his first breathtaking appearence in the famous short, impatiently scratching the ground before defeating and humiliating the biggest cheater in cartoon history.
Ages ago the episode "Pop-a-long Popeye" aired on Tv and i never exspected a big and muscular anthro bull under the red boxing robe.
As you can see here he was first named "Wild bull of the pampas", "Bully boy" later on in the finished version was definately the better choice, he´s intelligent, mean and immensly well built bodywise.
(And sexy, sorry couldn´t resist)
A broad back, muscly arms and powerful short legs, the attractive bovine was definately eyecandy in every scene, except his demise.
I never asked myself these questions:
What was his relationship with Bluto the foreman ?
How did he became humanoid and changed back at the end ?

My only question was:

Was it necessary to kill him just to show the kids that cheating abusing supplements is the better choice ?
Well,given Bluto wasn´t a role model either, but he seemingly raised and fed his breeding bull to the state he was, so absolution in his case.
