Sketches done as part of Fattytober 2022.
Part of Lorena's backstory. She is a transfem narwhal-horse hybrid who I've been meaning to flesh out (pun maybe intended) ever since I came up with the character years and years ago. I used the fattytober prompts to develop a kind of storyline for her. Sadly I couldn't do the whole 31 pictures, but I figures I might as well share the pictures I made for your viewing pleasure.

A severe injury can be a curse. It can shatter the opportunites for getting a scholarship, or tank the small progress in feeling part of a team. It can lead to a lack of motivation and a general apathy. But it can also be a good chance to do some exploration of what it means to be oneself. To ask the scary questions and figure out where those trembling steps in the path of recovery might lead.
