And now my hand can fall off in peace.
This -- this, right here -- is probably one of the best things I have drawn. It started off as a simple experiment. I wanted to do something Christmas-y for Jinny, and kinda' felt like trying a flat-colored, lineless piece. It was a bit challenging to get the flats into place after sketching it, but it turned out okay and didn't take up my whole night as expected. When I went to shade it, I was going to leave it at simple gradients when I thought: Hey, I wonder if I can give it some cell-shading.
Jeezus. I need to learn when to quit.
I tried a heap of new things with this one, if you can't tell. I am also insanely proud of it. You'll probably be seeing more art in this style, if I can be bothered to go through it again.
Did this completely in Paint Tool SAI. Took me... oh, five hours? Maybe six.
Jinny belongs to me, as does the art.
Ahem. Merry Christmas!
