Zale towers over the residents of his home town of Everwood. His demeanor is often tough, cold, stoic, and removed. He plays a critical role guarding the dangerous border between the Petrian Valley and Volcania's rugged mountains. Deep down, there's a lot more to Zale then what he allows to be displayed. In spite of his town's general distaste because of his family's damaged history in Everwood, this young wolf has a committed duty to his post. Zale is in a constant state of soul-searching to fill the void that holds him back. His hope is that his determination to the protection of his town will someday win back its favor and answer for his shortcomings. If he can unlock the potential held back from his doubts and feelings of inadequacy, this young soldier will flourish... He just hopes the townsfolk will be there to witness it.

Zale's encounter with Cirrus is just a glimpse of how far he'll go for his duty. The Volcani he captured seems to have a charm about her that chips away at his cold exterior. Only time will tell if letting down his guard for this entrancing young female will help him achieve his goals, or take him farther from them.
