Okay title's not so original, but lemme elaborate...
Well recently if you didn't know, or don't watch TV all that often, they released a new season of My Little Pony cartoons called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. When I first saw the random promotional stills a few months ago, I was rather worried. The cartoon is completely made in Flash and it seemed a lot different than the cartoon that I grew up watching. Well when I saw that I got the cable channel that the show was released on, I figured I'd watch it and give it a shot. It wasn't so bad. X3
One of the main ponies that they focus on is named Applejack, she's a sorta southern cowpony(not literally a cow-pony, more like a cow-girl, but a pony? get it? XD) and she has a rather LARGE family. Her immediate family, and extended family for that matter, all tend to the apple orchards in Pony Land. And each pony in her family all has an Apple themed name.
Well when they showed off Applejack's older brother, Big Mac(Macintosh is the name of a type of apple, get it? X3), my ponysona had a rather large crush on the gorgeous boy. XD So she demanded that I draw a pic of him, I don't mind doing that but I went a slightly different route. I didn't draw him as a pony pony, I went for a Pony anthro. ^^

SOOOO Glad you didn't do it in the style of the show. That's the one thing that's p***ed me off. I just wish those that are drawing the "new" fan-art could just find their own style and not do what the show is doing. So again, I thank you so much for not doing it their way ^.^

Ahh, I just figured 'cas the lining looks a lot like something one can pull out of SAI using a tablet. But the colouring was confusing me 'cas that's not something I've seen SAI do (at least I don't know how to get that kinda look easily). But good to know, and you're welcome :P
Ya, that I knew. I used GIMP for 8 (I think) years and that is a free pawned version of Photoshop, but that helped me a lot with colouring techniques but is absolutely horrible at lining, and once I got SAI, it was like a god-send to me XD
The only thing I can't do in SAI that I must still use GIMP for is colour gradients, but otherwise, SAI is my program of choice ^.^

I know one of the guys who did work on that series. He has a page here on FA. It's not pony or flash filled, but does show his own art/style.
