If my experience with the scouts is anything to go by pretty much every single kid there would deliberately "forget" their can openers from that point onwards just to see her draw that knife again :P.

To be fair, that _is_ a common use those are put to in the field. It's either that or the P38, and having used them a few times... fuck those things.

P38s work. Just as a Trabant is a car. I prefer just rubbing the top of the can on a rock surface like concrete or something similar then use that pig sticker to pop the lid off without slicing an artery or amputating a finger.
