As many of my watchers know the last 12 months have been particularly hectic but productive at the same time for me. Unfortunately since the beginning of the year I have had no time or energy to do any finished work in my studio. Fortunately that is starting to change slowly for the better. This a color piece I did to get myself back into the idea of handling backgrounds so I can start on the remaining commissions I have left on my docket.
Candece West "Candy" is professional swimsuit model who comes from the Hawaiian Islands. She is also a friend of Rosemary and they have worked together in the past on projects http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1875113/
Along with being an swimsuit model Candy is also an avid beach volleyball player; although one might not suspect it from a 4ft tall stout corgi. She was a member of her college team and has competed in several amateur/ semi-pro leagues on the islands. In fact it was an all girls volleyball video that Rosemary first met her.
Sorry if it is not the best scan since it is a rather quick, raw one with no adjusting to it. The piece is in my typical color pencil, marker, gouache, technical pen form.

Well she was wearing the standard one piece lifeguard swimsuit, and looking very nice in it, and would occupy one of the unmanned lifeguard chairs. She had two things attached to the chair.
One was a sign with rates for performing various services. Swim out make certain you were ok $100.00 stuff like that. She had a waterproof, wireless card reader she wore on her belt so she just swipe peoples credit/ debit cards and withdraw funds that way. Although I would not be surprise if she wasn't collecting card numbers for later scams that way.
The second item on the chair was a semi-auto 50BMG anti-material rifle that was attached to steady-cam type mount. When not in use it swung barrel down into scabbard on the chair. She supposedly had this to snipe any sharks that showed up in the waters off shore, And I did see her use it once. When she was done she just folded up the sign and stowed in a satchel, then detached the rifle/ mount from the chair and wandered off down the beach carrying it across her shoulders. It made for a very surreal moment. Me and her strolling down the beach in the late afternoon with her casually lugging that rifle that was about as big as her!

Oh my! Yes that does sound like Dolor- I mean, Vipera. She certainly does have fun. I'd have to say that the price of being resuscitated by the lovely Bluebell Baroness would be well worth the price. And while this is almost as amusing as the story you told me about her dragging poor Tom Clowder off to Zurich, I have to say Vipera is still as charming as ever.
You have to remember my universe has individuals that range from eight inches to eight feet in height. Therefore you can have a much wider range of sizes than are found in our world. Remember Jessica Knight is 5' 9" in height and Dawn Fairmane is 6' 6". However Abdul is only 37" tall but his Evenara is about 5' 10".
Scratch that, I'm crazy. For some reason I had used the scroll wheel before to zoom in on something before, and chrome kept that setting for every image file opened in it instead of resetting. Before it would make webpages huge as well and I could see the problem right-off.
