I stood out side on my back porch with my camcorder to record the eclipse sadly couldn't capture the whole thing for my battery died on me.
This eclipse is the rareist you can get for 1: it is a total eclipse and 2: it was on the soltice. This is when the path of the moon is runs perfectly east to west.
Althouh lunar eclipses aren't rare the occurance on the soltice is and won't happen again for 375 years!
XD I stood up till 3am and latter watching the moon being swallowed up by the toad, poor rabbit. (lunar mythology lol)
For all who missed the event or thouse who couldn't see it this is for all of you =D

Now that I read your description, I'm really glad I was able to watch it... Unfortunately, here in São Paulo, the sky is overflowing with buildings so I couldn't watch 3/4 of it :S
