22 Foot Wood Ore Car
This car came from a kit I've had for a long time but never got around to building until recently. A couple days ago, I tried my hand at this car. It seemed like a very daunting task at first, but it's actually easy and fun to make once you read the instructions.
The really hard part was painting this car. The instructions say you can either paint each part and scrape off glue where you need to, or paint the model once completed, I went with the latter since it seemed like less of a chore. Though it was VERY difficult painting this car, especially the creviced within, and you can see in the pic that I didn't quite get all of them. There were two cars in the pack, so I might try that former option when I get to building the second car.
Construction and painting aside, This is actually a cute little freight car. Only downside is that the kit doesn't come with couplings for it, which I'll have to outsource along with metal wheels. But if you can outsource those parts, I highly recommend getting and assembling this kit.
This kit is from a company called "Tichy Train Group". I got my kit from a sale at my local model railroad club's sale, but the company is still active and has a website you can buy this kit and more from.
