A Crimson maned lion sat by the window of his clans training building- his eyes focusing in on his hand as an orb of fire flickered to life.. Its flames dancing to the rhythm of an unseen wind- the soft sounds of nature drowning out the sputtering of the orb- His focus would waver for a moment, the orb dying out, his face flushing as he noticed you staring.
He'd turn his maw away- looking out the window as a butterfly of your making flew above him.. He's just a trainee, only two years in, and he's showing much more promise than you did, you can't help but be a little jealous. He'll master animate objects in no time, then move onto other elements.. You've heard he is attuned to Lightning, but thats too dangerous without proper the fundamentals and discipline.
"You'll get there, kitten." The head of the Clan, Joshua, called out- his bob tail swishing back and forth happily as his pointed ears flicked. "You're doing great, next up you'll get to practice some earthen magic, and help me grow some herbs.. Meet me in the garden and we can practice today if you wish." He'd say to the young lion, making a few of the other attendees sneer. He seems to be getting special attention from Joshua, is it because he believes the lion is special? I've never heard of the Head of a Clan teaching a single pupil, but.. It'd make sense if he was going to be the next head.
I'd shake my maw as I focused on my creation- watching its wings spread and flutter through the wind, carrying it from one edge of the room to the other- nearly grazing a few of my friends heads, but keeping it just out of reach.. I'd turn my head back towards the lion slowly, the orb reformed in his paw- seeming to be stronger, and brighter.. He might be special after all.
The butterfly sputtered out as it flew into the wall, leaving a slight scorch mark- making me wince. My head spinning from the drain on my mana, my ears flattening as I reached to rub over it.. This time, he'd be watching me- He'd stand and begin to walk over, his tail swaying with a certain confidence as he pressed a paw to my shoulder, a sudden burst of energy flowing into me without warning.
He'd let out a small breath as he smiled down at me, before padding outside without a word, my headache rapidly vanishing as I sit there dazed.. Did he just transfer mana to me? Is that even possible?
