After spending some time with Auntie Vitani and cousin Zahra, little Shani is very happy to see her mummy back from her royal duties. Shani often ends up in the care of her aunties while she's little as Kiara has taken over a lot of Simba's work as she readies herself to take over as Queen. Mostly Shani doesn't mind but she does miss her mom.

Shani is a bit of a baby and a big mommy's girl. She is quite spoilt by her mom and her grandparents so she can get quite bratty if she doesn't get her own way but she has a soft heart and will usually apologies quickly. Vitani tries her best to toughen the princess up but Shani lacks the outlander instincts. Shani does also have a good relationship with her father but Kovu is usually the firm parent and has to do most of the disciplining and tough loving.

Zahra however is a strong willed and loud little lioness. She is a little older than Shani but treats her cousin like a baby. Zahra loves to hang out with the lion guard and likes to think of herself as a junior member.


Also side note... while drawing this I realised, in my headcanon Vitani is the daughter of Scar and Zira meaning she is Simba's cousin and so she is Kiara's second cousin but Kovu is Vitani's adopted brother making Kiara (Kovu's wife) also her sister in law... so yeah their relationship is a little confusing XD
