There won't be a new page for the comic today, but here's a picture to fill its place :)
Sometimes I can't upload certain things related to the Tree of Life comic because they're spoilers. For example, when I want to illustrate the growth of a character. But by accident, I was able to create a picture that has some spoilers yet doesn't have any at all :D
Originally I was just going to make a very simple sketch, but then it turned into more. It became a bit more detailed and colourful, and it was good practice to try to draw a forest. I want to draw a lot of nature in the comic.

Animal-like postures versus human-like postures are always interesting things to play with when drawing anthro characters. Some poses just look more natural than others; some are difficult to do with, say, digitigrade legs (like crossing the legs at the ankle, for example.)
The way you handled the background details is also interesting--yes, it's a leaf-strewn forest floor, that I'm sure took longer to put together than the characters took to draw, but it's also very vague and loose, which works great because there's no defined leaf shapes to distract from the main focus of the picture.
