So some friends and I might be doing a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, albeit one that uses the rules loosely and has a steampunk setting. We got to make up characters for it, so obviously I went with a furry race. They're kind of weasely/ottery. This is a concept sketch.

If you can get your hands on the core books, I highly recommend the Iron Kingdoms setting. It's D20 based and pure steampunk (Full-Metal Fantasy); it also seems to work relatively well with firearms as opposed to D&D 3.x, which from my experience couldn't ever really get it right. If you're ok with moving away from D&D, you can also do Savage Worlds (US $10 core rulebook), which is a highly-adaptable core ruleset, or you can do GURPS + GURPS Steampunk (also highly adaptable ruleset, but more expensive and slightly more complex; allows for a LOT of customization though).
