love the lights--was Deus Ex an inspiration? i loved how the game always took pains to make ceilings look interesting with weird lights (one of the dev commentary tracks talks about it)

You just reminded me why i like cyberpunk so much
It is both noir, melancholic and gritty surrounding and habitat
Dirt, high-tech and neon helish lights create a total mess of a bizarre collapsed society that is dead inside and try to find hope in dystopian world of the future where the money won everything including morals and even basic rules of simple life

Thank you, yeah so much of cyberpunk has lost the "punk" aspect of it (and don't even get me started on the derivatives like Steampunk or Dieselpunk, especially the latter just seems like "cool fascist soldiers") so i wanted to make sure that that punk is still part of it, and honestly this sketch probably has the least of it as mentioned in the description.

What a gorgeous painting, I love the atmosphere and the lighting. The harsh fluorescent lights being skewed and the look of viewing the interior from an alleyway gives it a really surreal feeling, like this isn't quite reality and we're seeing a projection. Very fitting with cyberpunk.

Bought your thumbnail thing, very excited for it. Yeah looking at your pictures helps a ton. I can really feel that film still vibe (looking up Cindy Sherman makes me feel 20 again). Dunno if thats the right term but it's almost like you have two focal areas here (or a "fake" one and a target??), the head leads to the "recorder" at the TV. Lovely curved gesture and sparse wires contrasting with all the straight elements. I'm sorry for the spam, will keep this to my notes from now. Just wanted to know if there are composition guides you recommend

Hah no problem, and no the second focal point wasn't intended. As for composition guides, the composition books the Framed Ink book from Marc Mateu-Mestre is pretty great.
