On the planet Grom, each continent is governed by a Governor elected by popular vote. And within each continent, each city is governed by a kind of Mayor, also elected by popular vote. In most smaller villages, the leader is also elected by vote. But there are still small villages, where the leader is chosen by a competition of strength, called Khudok, the predecessor of the modern fighting sport renzar.
