This is my rendition of "Let it snow" Enjoy my cynicism at tropical weather :P
And yes, for irony I purposefully chose the most miserable image of snow for the thumbnail, aka Heathrow Airport

Ha, bless the heathrow airport. When the world hub of international travel gets a bit of snow on it, it shuts down. Birmingham airport? Clear the runway, off we go. XD Londonfail.
As for the tropical weather, I have to agree with you that it is the worst combination of weather, ever. XP

Did you know it takes 5 fucking airports to service London? In order of size they are
London Heathrow
London Gatwick
London Stansted
London City
London Luton
Shows just how bloody dense the traffic flowing in and out of London is! And the bulk of that passenger flow is International, not Domestic.
I know! Please RJ, take me with you to Britain! I take frosty weather over humidity anyday!

I know Birmingham's international, by "bulk of that passenger flow is International, not Domestic" I was referring to American airports. Most of the world's busiest airports are American, but the traffic is nearly all domestic traffic.
Number of passengers handled, 2009
Busiest Airport in the world: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, 88 million
Busiest Airport in the world by International Traffic: London Heathrow Airport, 66 million
Just try and fathom that: As busy and bunged up as Heathrow is, there are airports that handle 25% more traffic

And Heathrow handles all of that with 2 runways...and it runs at 97% runway capacity. Already the times between takeoffs and landings on the tarmac is slashed down to 2 minutes and every 2 planes need to bank in opposite directions after takeoff to make up for such a narrow safety margin....you can see why one delay can set of a cataclysmic chain of disaster with everything so tight and close...
Heathrow needed a Terminal 5, but it desperately needs a Terminal 6 and Runway 3...which Cameron and his frugal cohorts cancelled. It's either that or a new Airport
