A little Veteran's Day tribute. This time I drew something different. This picture features for the first time... Samson's parents, Simon and Tina Scott. And a baby Samson. A family portrait.
In the picture their ages are:
Simon- 31
Tina- 25
Samson- 1 month
Short background:
Simon Scott joined the US Marines at the age of 23, and he quickly rose through the ranks and became a Lieutenant. When overseas, he was involved in a small battle where he received 3 bullet wounds. Fortunately his wounds weren't life threatening, but he was still out of commission. He was placed in the care of a nurse named Tina. Although she outranked him (she's a Captain), the two got along great during his recovery. She was firm with him as she helped him with his therapy, but he liked that from her. After awhile they began to develop feelings for each other, and began dating. Near the end of their service time, they decided to get married. They had a big military wedding with their friends and families. Then just as their time of service ended, they were expecting their first cub. He was suppose to be due when they get back home from overseas. However, their baby was born a few weeks early, and was born on the ship they were traveling back home on. So they had a little baby shower there on the ship. Once back home, Tina made a full recovery, and she and Simon began raising their new son... Samson. He brought so much joy to their lives as he grew. And little did they know that their son would grow into a dedicated and inspiring Marine too, who would outrank them both when Samson began a Major. A real happy family.
Happy Veteran's Day!

May the souls of the dead rest in peace on this day of the 104th anniversary of the end of the great war known as Remembrance/Veteran's day. My country did not officially join the war but 25,000 soldiers have volunteered with a loss of 62 Filipinos serving under the American flag with the first being Tomás Mateo Claudio who was part of the Philippine National Guard as a contribution to the American Expeditionary Force contingent to provide support to the war-weary Allied forces. Claudio decided to apply in the U.S. Army despite being a Filipino. After being denied twice, he was finally enlisted on November 2, 1917. He became a member of the 41st Infantry Division and left for Europe on December 15. Under the leadership of General John Pershing, the Americans held their ground from repeated German attacks. Private Claudio took part in these crucial battles in the Marne Offensive. Artillery shells pounded "No Man's Land", barbed wires left mutilated hands and gunpowder and blood mixed together. In the ensuing battle, Private Claudio was killed by enemy fire on June 29, 1918 in Château-Thierry, France. To this day even if the Philippines don't celebrate with it's American and European counterparts we take Pride in the contributions of the Hero's who fought and were lost in the fields away from home in response to America's call to aid Europe in 1917 and celebrate their accomplishments in our National Heroes Day. May Remembrance/Veteran's Day remember the fallen in America, United Kingdom, Philippines and Other nations who have sacrificed a Generation for other Generations to thrive.

Yes, that's them. Someone gave me this idea awhile back (I can't remember who), but I finally got around to drawing it.
Samson was inspired to join the marines from someone.
Oh yes, Tina is very beautiftul, which is why Simon fell in love with her. And likewise, Tina considered herself very lucky to take care of a buff and handsome panther.
Haha, I couldn't refuse the pacifier.
