Angelic Sona Ref [SFW]
So I've been playing with the idea of a new sona for a long while. As much as I like my silly red headed pikachu self I've been wanting something more original while still remaining familiar to what I've gotten use to for so long! While hopefully looking inspired by pikachu rather than just knockoff pikachu looking, I feel content with Red the angelic rodent!
This is not a retirement of my red headed pikachu sona however so no worries there! I still plan to be such for Pokémon content as well as more fan-work related art!
However I feel it's good to have a sona not tied to some big IP like Pokémon so I suppose you could just consider this to be my true form? Hah!

Probably a good idea to not have a full direct attachment to the Pokémon company, given how they are, but I will say ya succeeded in making this fella look familiar in design to your Pikachu, and as a resident rodent enthusiast, I appreciate sticking to the small & cute frame. Usually I’m not a fan of changes to character designs I’ve liked over the years, but this one seems to be an exception for me.
Also gliding as an ability is always a fun time.

Yeah, and as much as I still love Pokémon, having a sona tied to an IP like that just didn't feel the same, though has been tough to break from...!
Aw goodness, that genuinely makes me happy as I was honestly very scared I aimed too similar, so hearing it's familiar and an exception like this is really relieving!
Oh yes, I always loved the swoop kind of gliding!
