As well as being some of my favorite characters of all time, the list pretty much sums up everything I've put into creating what Zairene is so far.

From left to right (top row)
Freya (Final Fantasy 9)-- She is Burmecian, a race of anthropomorphic rats. I feel that she has a lot of care for her kind (like Zairene). It hard NOT to like her. A loyal, trustworthy traveling companion that carries a unique set of skills to help move a battle in your favor.
Zero (Megaman X series)-- Zero is a very straight forward, no nonsense BADASS. Opposite to X, Zero apporaches battle head on, and is constantly in the enemies face. I prefer using him over X most of the time. Again, a very loyal friend (at least until Sigma screws with his head).
Lightning (Final Fantasy 13)--Like you didnt see this coming. XD
I'm working on brightening up Zairenes mood slightly. But similar to Lightning, she can seem very cold hearted. However, her attitude is often misperceived. Both ladies are veterened fighters that (at first) prefer to press on and deal with issues directly, rather than to dwell on potential consequences.
Ezio Auditore De Firenze (Assissins Creed:Brotherhood)-- Not so much a relation to personalities as much as it is his vast knowledge of weaponry, elusiveness, and combat abilities. It's amazing how many different tools he's able to switch to on the fly. He's a fu*****' walking deterrent set out to erase all opposition!
He is where I got the idea for Zairene to have a secondary fighting style, switching from her usual blades to a very light, fast paced style, dashing in and out of attacks with ease. >=3
Ayane (Dead or Alive series/ Ninja Gaiden series)-- This is where Zairenes secondary outfit and fighting form came from.
Underneath Zairene's mean-mugging, hardened exterior lies a beautiful, sexy warrior with speed and finesse in battle
........and an increase in boobage >/////>

Bottom Row (left to right)
Nariko (Heavenly Sword)-- Nariko is a very graceful, powerful, and acrobatic fighter. She reminds me of someone you'd see from one of those high-flying martial arts movies. I like her mostly for the respect she demands from her clan. As well as her ability to methodically break down her enemy for a devesating blow. She is not to be triffled with (with or without the Heavenly sword)
Izumi Curtis (Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood)--"Just a Housewife!!"
A fun, loving, strong alchemist. Izumi is the Mentor/Teacher of Edward and Alphonse Elric. I could say she is the basis of where I got the idea for Zairene to take on a student of her own, Kousuke Matamori. The fact that she's so hard on him is really just to make sure that he can stand on his own and to hopefully make sure not to follow the mistakes she's made in the past. A very aggressive, yet motherly approach at the same time, both ladies are the beginigs of which their studends grow to be legends in their own right. And continue to remain close to eachother, long after their teachings.
Sophitia (Soul Calibur series)-- Both women had to learn to becone warriors early in order to survive. Sophitia for her families sake, and Zairene for her self and her clan.
I think Sophitia represents the idea that you can be beautiful and powerful at the same time, not just one or the other. (And she's my main in SC. I really don't use anyone else. And I don't need to >=3 )
Komamura Sajin (Bleach)-- If there was just ONE character I had to thank for the creation of Zairene and me getting into drawing anthropomorphic characters, its HIM.
Initially mah boi Justin was looking to create a Species of cat-like people for our story, using Komamura as a basis of what he was looking for; animal like features but stood like a human.
Fun Fact: Zairene's early concepts were a combination of wolf and tiger. Very tall and built, with no real feminine qualities to speak of other than her voice (Can you imagine that? A canine Zairene?!) XD
Sir Auron (final fantasy 10)--THE BEST FF character IMO.
If you look up "badass motha fu****" in the dictionary, you should see his picture of him holding the head of Sephiroth in his hand.
Again, he represents a strong, noble warrior. A true hero in his own right. He dosen't look for praise or attention. He makes sure that whoever he's helping stays their course and that they see their story to the end.
Even in death, his will lingers on.
So these are probably my top 10 inspirational characters I look at when crafting Zairene's personality, looks, and abilities. They may not be as directly influential as others, but they're definielty there.
Fun little tidbits:
-3 of them have 'Z' in their name
-The majority of them have a distinctive ammount of red.
-Only 3 of them are main characters.
-And only 2 are not from a videogame.
-I didn't really watch Bleach until my friend showed me Komamura
Who do you think she relates with the most? Or is there someone not on the list she reminds you of?
