In a panicked and desperate attempt to get herself out Aurora put her hands on the sand in an attempt to push herself back out, as her belly button stopped for a moment with sinking she hoped that the ground next to her would be strong enough to hold her in place.

Which in all fairness I take no issues with, not to mention it's fun to try giving the impression that someone is trying to push onto something soft, which I think turned out pretty well.
