Funnily enough, I didn't really stray to far from Valoo's official proportions as far as his body goes. It's mostly just adjusting his armature to fit within human proportions for full body tracking and making his neck much shorter so it's easier to animate and not so far away from the user's point of view, though the size and shape of his belly and hips is actually relatively the same as his official model! ...And I also gave him biceps and muscle detail too because the folks I've shown the model to seemed to really like it.
Valoo certainly does look really good under most lighting conditions thanks to the shaders I used along with baking an ambient occlusion for his textures! Part of that might also be because I subdivided his mesh a bit to help with smoothing out the lighting some on his belly and such too, though it didn't cut into the performance rank of the avatar any and he seems to have turned out really good because of it!
Could share the Unity files if you'd like! I still need to do visemes and animate his wings in the model's current state, though if you'd be interested in letting me visit you on VRChat and the like I'd be happy to share even if just to watch you use the model from a proper third person perspective!
never played zelda games but i am in love with how awesome this Valoo character looks like. I saw him in vrchat one time and i can't wait to try Valoo for myself when there is an option to try it sooner or later when the avatar is fully ready. I also use my vr fullbody stuff. ^^
Keep up with that awesome work.
