Although I can understand at least one or two shorts taking place during the 2016 film (ex: Hopp On Board & Dinner Rush), I really don’t think they should ALL take place during the film (especially “So You Think You Can Prance?”).

I think “So You Think You Can Prance?” was the only one that was mishandled... change the start... After the nighthowler case is closed... and Nick is just about to graduate the Academy... Clawhauser happily and Bogo reluctantly goes to the competition to win tickets to Gazelle's concert... ends with them having fun together... Boom... Fixed it ;3
I couldn't agree more... plus they all show about 10 minutes but over half of every short was credits... so it ended up being only like 30 minutes of "new" content after 6 years with absolutely nothing new to add whatsoever... it feels more like deleted scenes that would be a dvd extra feature than the show they promised us... it was highly dissappointing v.v
