Yea, in blender we have cycles that can do that, but remember textures are key to make the effect.

Yep it's a black and white map.. Black=Transparent, grey=opaque and white=solid..

Oho! Yes! It's a very close likeness. I often tell "Mapper" how much I would like to see his renderings translated into 3-D models, and given the advances in technology through these past 20 years or so, this might happen sooner than later.

Thats the model I use, Can't take credit for it.. The only retexturing I did were her shoulder decals nd the broken visor.

I don't know Mapper, but I see stuff like that, and I start instantly building a "Model" of it in my head. I sure need something to do with all those aftermarket Gundam joint kits I bought in the early 1990s.
